A quiet corner of the coast, made for unwinding
Tomahawk is a small seaside community on the north-east coastline of Tasmania, overlooking Ringarooma Bay and Flinders Island — the Furneaux Group of islands.
The area is well known as a destination to relax and unwind, with its many beaches, dramatic sand dunes and accessible bushland. There is no better way to discover and unwind at the beach.
Fish from the surf along those many beaches, from the rugged rocky edges, or in rivers and freshwater lakes stocked with Brown and Rainbow Trout. For those with boats, the bay offers everything from flathead to snapper — and for divers, large crayfish are common along the rocky reefs not far from shore.
